After two full day visiting San Francisco we picked up our RV and headed to Yosemite National Park.It was as easy as it sounds… It took forever bevor it was our turn. When we wanted to leave the battery was dead. They started the car with jump leads and sent us of with the words “it will be OK…”. So far no more trouble with the battery…keep the fingers crossed. Nighttime we arrived at Yosemite NP, where we had a reservation only for one night on Crane Flat campground because it was the start of Labour Day weekend and all American’s are traveling and half of them to Yosemite. Next morning we took a chance on a first-come-first-served campground but once we got there it was full already. On the way to the campground we had to stop and watch and take pictures and  gaped. Very, very pretty!

Luckily a nice family shared there space with us and so we could spent another night in Yosemite park. Put on our hiking boots and headed to Glacier Point with the shuttle service and hiked back to the campground in 4 hours. At Glacier Point you have a beautiful view on Half Dome and Yosemite Valley. During our hike lots of good views into the Valley and distant mountains. Before we entered the forrest a last view on El Capitan.

Nights in the park where freezing cold! We had 0°C in the RV! We were lucky to get an extra blanket from the rental company.  ON the 2nd morning I got a heart attack: iPod not working… all the audio books and music we can not play during our long drives…argh… After a while it worked and I think it was just too cold for it.

Before we the Tioga Pass road we had to stop and watch the dare devils climb El Capitan.
